After breakfast, we leave for the north of Kenya. Game Drive on the way and afternoon
in the park of Samburu.Samburu National reserve is home to a number of rare species
which are only to be found north of the equator. These include Grevy’s zebra, the oryx
and the reticulated giraffe.

Samburu / Lake Nakuru |
|
Early morning departure for the lake region. Lake Nakuru is a shallow, alkaline lake
covering an area of 62 Km². The landscape is picturesque and varied with acacia
woodland alternating with rocky hillsides, marshes, outcrops and grasslands. Gazetted
as a bird sanctuary in 1960, this is the ornithologist's idea of paradise ! Afternoon
safari around the lake. |

Lake Nakuru / Maasaï Mara |
|
En route for the Maasaï Mara, Kenya’s most famous reserve and a natural extension of
the Serengeti. Maasaï Mara has the largest concentration of predators in the country.
The Mara river runs through the park, and is a favourite with the enormous crocodiles
of the Nile, as they await the annual migration of millions of gnus and zebras.
