The best time to visit is between June and October, when the temperature is comfortable. Periods of 'long rains' are from end-March to end-May, and there is a period of 'short rains' in November and December.

Travel Health depends on your predeparture preparations and how you handle with medical problem or emergency that does develop. Make sure you are healthy before travelling, including your teeth. If you wear glasses, take a spare pair and your prescription. If you require a particular medication take an adequate supply, as it may not be available locally. For these countries, no immunisations are necessary, but the further off the beaten track you go the more necessary it is to take precautions.
